My collaborator, Matt Jones and I tried to make it “big” in 24 hours. We didn’t. We used Country music as a vehicle to explore the American work ethic and the desire to acquire fortune and fame at an unrealistic speed. In one 24-hour period, we made our first and only country music album, drove it to Nashville, and then tried to get every prestigious country music label on Music Row to listen to our album. After all of are failed attempts to be heard, we shrink-wrapped our album, put a label on it and snuck it onto the shelves of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s gift shop.
